Good Morning! First thing I wanted to say was thanks to everyone for working so hard this week. Remember to not let yourself get overwhelmed! I know some of you are still working full time and are concerned about completing all the work - just do what you can do. Don’t stress! We are still just taking this one day at a time.
Today please work on At-Home Lesson Day 3. I wanted to let you know the word problem today involves elapsed time. We haven’t done elapsed time yet, so this problem may be tough - but don’t let it get you down! There is a video on Brain Pop Jr. called Elapsed Time that you can watch or just try your best and keep going.
My challenge for you today is something that you can do throughout the time we are remote learning. Did you know right now we are all living through historical moments? Some day when you are older people, maybe even your own kids or grandkids, may ask what times were like during the COVID-19 quarantine. I challenge you to keep a journal or write down memories. Keep it somewhere you can get it out in the future and share with others.
Update on the “Slime Mr. K” Reading Challenge: Parkside has currently read 31 books! Please keep reading and let me know when you finish a book so I can add it to our school’s tally.
Today is also a meal pick up day. Below are the times and locations. Remember meals are provided Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and they will provide enough meals for two days.
Storey Manor Office: 9:30am-10:00am
Enchanted Village Mobile Home Office: 10:00am - 10:30am
Lifebrook Church: 10:45am - 11:15am
Trimpe Middle School: 9:00am - 12:00pm
If you need meals and can’t make it to one of these locations, please let me know!
Last thing, tonight is Parkside Night at Papa John’s - comment below with your family’s favorite pizza toppings. My family loves bacon on our pizza!
